Yeah. I’m curious to see where things go. I honestly don’t know where I’d go for my daily car stuff if Jalopnik and oppo ceased to exist.
However, if Gawker proper went away, I wouldn't care at all. The only think worse than the writers are the commenters. They are some seriously hateful people.

Gawker Media won’t go away. There is no way that Hogan would get all his money if the company just died. No, they'll just be paying Hulk more than they pay Dick Denton.

The only way Denton will be able to afford this settlement is for him to scrap Gawker Media and sell it for parts. Jalopnik, and maybe even Oppo, will probably live on, just under new ownership.

I think this is a case that'll go up the ladder, possibly to the Supreme Court. I hate how with cases, they'll shop locations based on how they think they'll do. The law should apply evenly to all regardless of jurisdiction. The overall sum of money sued for is ridiculous anyway.
